21 days to make 3 professional grade videos. Can you commit?
Are you ready to push yourself? Let’s go!
***New: Start When You're Ready!***
Each day I will bring a new challenge and each day you’ll work to get closer to your goal. Stick to the schedule and by the end of the course you will have three different (but helpful) professional quality videos to launch you into video.
- Days 1 to 7 Plan, film and edit a short DIY video (under 3 minutes)
- Days 7 to 14 Plan, film and edit a YouTube introduction or blog promo video
- Days 15 to 21 Plan, film and edit a “shareable” video for Facebook/ Instagram
*** This class requires that you have access to equipment and a basic knowledge of video production***
For the class you need:
- Video Camera (Camcorder, DSLR or smart phone that can film in HD)
- Lighting (light kit or reflector)
- Video Editing program (Like Adobe Premiere or iMovie)
- Dedicated Time 1 hour each day (possibly less for more experienced makers)
How it works: After you sign up you’ll get access to the introduction. I will give you more details and get you prepped to start. The next day we dive in and start working on your first video. I’m right there working with you and cheering you on, giving tips and helping you move forward. Each day a new challenge and a step closer to completing your goal. Stick to the timeline and by then end you’ll have 3 videos ready to rock the net.
Q: What if I fall behind?
A: I get it, life happens, kids get sick. The challenges will still keep coming, but they don’t self-destruct, this isn’t Mission Impossible. Just pick up where you left off and keep going
Q: I’m kind slow at this whole video thing, what if it takes me longer?
A: No worries. If you need to slow down a little it’s ok, but I want you to try and push yourself.
Q: I’ve never shot a video before is this a good place to start?
A: I STRONGLY recommend that you read/ take the DIY Video for Bloggers: The Complete eBook before taking this challenge. I will be using terms and concepts from that course and expect the student to understand what I am talking about.
With a bachelor’s degree in Film Studies from the University of Utah, my professional background is in film, television and ad production. I left the industry when I started a family, but missed working and creating. In 2011 I started FleeceFun.com a sewing and craft blog. In 2016 I started DIYVIdeoforbloggers.com to help my fellow bloggers with video production.
You can do this!
